Scarlet Runner Bean

Bold, beautiful, and absolutely delicious, the Scarlet Runner Bean is as stunning in the pot as it is on the plate. One of the most visually striking beans in the Rancho Gordo lineup, these large, glossy beans are speckled in deep midnight purple and dusty rose, making them almost too pretty to cook. Almost. Once simmered low and slow, they develop a rich, meaty texture with an earthy, mushroom-like depth of flavor that makes them a standout in hearty stews, braised dishes, and simple pots of beans with good olive oil and crusty bread. A favorite among bean enthusiasts and a showstopper at any table.
